Fase 01 · The project

We developed a tracking system for freight wagons to determine their location and detect critical events during transport: unauthorized opening, potential theft, knocks and impacts.

Fase 02 · The challenge

The equipment needed to operate autonomously with minimal maintenance in a demanding railway environment, exposed to vibration, weather and long periods without supervision.

Fase 03 · Development

We designed a robust tracker with internal batteries recharged by solar power, engineered for extended autonomy and low energy consumption. It integrates 4G connectivity to send data to the customer's server, an accelerometer for impact detection and Bluetooth communication with peripherals.

The system monitors each wagon's position, condition and incidents during transport. It combines solar power, 4G connectivity, onboard sensing and robust design to improve freight traceability and security.
