Phase 01 · A folding seat that
The multi-functional hammock has a very distinctive feature: it can be converted into a carrying bag when folded.
In addition to providing a comfortable place to rest, it also features two integrated wheels, allowing it to be transformed into a practical trolley for transporting the product and other items. This unique functionality makes this multi-purpose hammock an ideal option for those seeking a versatile and practical solution for their transport and relaxation needs.
Phase 02 · Developing a folding chair that
The i-mas design team faced a significant challenge when developing a foldable and easily transportable hammock. Incorporating wheels into the product was one of the initial solutions considered, but these wheels needed to be able to withstand a variety of terrains, including beach sand, grass, gravel, and asphalt, among others.
Phase 03 · Designing two versions
The i-mas designers presented two design proposals to the client for the multi-purpose hammock. The first was a traditional hammock, designed for the user to lie down with their legs extended. The second, in contrast, was a chair-style version. Both designs included wheels and a folding option to facilitate the product's transport.
Phase 04 · Final product
The final result is a 2-in-1 product that combines the comfort and stability of a hammock for resting, with the ease and versatility of a trolley for transporting utensils. These features make it a differentiated product in the market, thanks to the convenience it offers to users.
