Fase 02 · The challenge

Developing products for marine environments presented a significant challenge due to the high humidity and salinity, which required the selection of corrosion-resistant materials to ensure durability. Furthermore, ensuring proper sealing was crucial to protect the internal components from leaks.

Another challenge involved designing a versatile anchoring system that would allow the device to be installed and removed without altering the vessel, adapting to a variety of boat models. We also worked on creating a compact and ergonomic design, maximizing space for the components while maintaining functionality.

Fase 03 · Development

Functional design and technical optimization.

Our design team meticulously considered every detail of Searebel, from the aesthetic design of the steering wheel to the development of an adapter for the boat’s shafts. We created a robust and adaptable anchoring system, ensuring a straightforward installation.

The project required numerous iterations and prototypes, with testing on various vessels which revealed necessary improvements, leading us to refine the design. We focused on achieving efficient manufacturing through aluminum injection, working closely with the client to seamlessly integrate the electronic components. Furthermore, we are currently supporting the pre-production phase, the molds, and the design of bespoke packaging.

Fase 04 · Final product

Smart navigation innovation

The result is a high-quality, durable product that is unique in its category: no other assisted navigation system can be installed and removed so easily without modifying the vessel.

Furthermore, its key innovation lies in the integration of MobilePilot, which allows navigation to be managed from a mobile device, controlling the boat intuitively by simply indicating the destination or drawing the route on the mobile screen.
