Challenge

Versatility and Ergonomics

Developing products for marine environments was a major challenge due to the high humidity and salinity, which required selecting corrosion-resistant materials to ensure durability. In addition, ensuring proper sealing was key to protect the internal components from leaks.

Another challenge was to design a versatile anchoring system that would allow the device to be installed and removed without modifying the vessel, adapting to different boat models. We also worked on achieving a compact and ergonomic design, maximising space for components without compromising functionality.

Development

Functional design and technical optimisation

Our design team took care of every detail of searebbel, from the aesthetic design of the steering wheel to the development of the adapter for the boat’s axles. We created a robust anchoring system that is adaptable to a variety of boats, ensuring easy installation.

The project required multiple iterations and prototypes, with tests on different boats revealing necessary improvements, which led us to refine the design. We focused on achieving efficient manufacturing through aluminium injection moulding, working closely with the customer to seamlessly integrate the electronics. In addition, we are currently supporting pre-production, moulds and custom packaging design.
