Substance analyser
NanoMODS is a machine designed to analyze substances introduced previously into a single-use cartridge through a sample.
The design and development of this machine are based on aesthetic and functional foundations that ensure the product fulfills its function in the most optimal way possible.
01
Challenge
Design a machine for analyzing substances based on functional principles without compromising the product's aesthetics.
The goal the i-mas team must achieve is to develop a machine for applications in the healthcare sector. In this area, it is crucial to quickly identify the source of an infection. The design of this product must adapt to hospital environments, as the machine will be incorporated into healthcare facilities.
02
Development
Manufacture a product so that the sample placed in the cartridge can be analyzed and obtain a quick diagnosis.
The machine is designed with the operator in mind, who must insert the cartridge containing the sample into the top of the machine developed by i-mas. It is placed in such a way that it makes contact so that the sample can be analyzed.
03
Final product
A machine that detects microorganisms in any fluid sample instantly.
The final result is a laboratory prototype for hospitals aimed at evaluating the performance of real samples and comparing the results with those obtained through conventional analysis systems. It is a system consisting of an inventory equipment and capsules in which the samples are placed for analysis.
