Artificial Intelligence (AI)<\/a><\/strong> is radically transforming the way we conceive and develop products, so we interviewed Joan Bar\u00f3, Software Developer at i-mas, to answer some key questions about how artificial intelligence has been implemented in the be-ia<\/strong> project, and how this technology has transformed the emotional ultrasound experience. <\/p>\n\n

be\u00b7<\/a>ia<\/a> <\/strong>combines high-quality design with innovative technology to completely transform the user experience in the field of emotional ultrasound. Thanks to artificial intelligence, it is able to transform hyper-realistic images of babies in real time, eliminating the need for post-production. <\/p>\n\n

In addition, be-ia<\/strong> has been recognised with the prestigious Delta de Oro<\/a><\/strong> at the Delta Awards, organised by ADI-FAD, an award that highlights its excellence in industrial design and its cultural and economic impact. <\/p>\n

How was AI implemented in the be-ia project?<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n

At be-ia<\/a><\/strong> we have implemented convolutional neural networks<\/strong> (CNNs) trained on thousands of real ultrasound images. These networks allow us to improve the clarity of the images and eliminate elements that may hinder visualisation, such as the placenta. Thanks to advanced optimisation techniques, such as dropout <\/strong>and the Adam optimiser<\/strong>, we have avoided problems such as over-fitting, allowing us to generate much sharper and more accurate ultrasound scans<\/strong> in real time. This means that expectant parents can see hyper-realistic images of their baby without the need for post-production processes. <\/p>\n\n

How did AI empower the project?<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n
    <\/ol>\n\n

    Artificial intelligence<\/strong> has completely transformed the prenatal experience we offer with be-ia<\/strong>. By removing unwanted elements of the womb that often hinder a clear picture of the baby, and by generating hyper-realistic images, we have made it possible for parents to identify family traits and similarities<\/strong> long before birth. This strengthens the emotional connection<\/a><\/strong> with their baby from the earliest moments of pregnancy, making the experience much more personal <\/strong>and meaningful. <\/p>\n

    How do you see the future of AI in this type of projects?<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n
      <\/ol>\n\n

      The future of AI in ultrasound imaging promises images that are almost identical to what the baby will look like at birth. As algorithms improve, parents will be able to see more accurately what their baby will look like, capturing details such as facial features and family similarities. With this technology, ultrasounds will become a realistic window into the future, completely changing the experience of anticipation during pregnancy. <\/p>\n\n

      In addition, artificial intelligence will bring breakthroughs in all kinds of projects. As technology becomes smarter, we will be able to create more accurate solutions, automate tasks and improve people’s lives. <\/p>\n\n
